PolarBag^TM uses a layered combination of state of the art lightweight closed cell insulating materials to reduce to a minimum heat transfer through the structure of the bag.

 ^è         Pockets for HTIceGel^TM

The Patented method of deploying the HTIceGel^TM in pockets presents the largest cooling surface area in the right places, taking advantage of the “mini climate” existing inside the bag. The contents are cooled by “convection” – or the constant vertical circulation of air inside PolarBag^TM – rising as it removes heat from the contents, and falling as the HTIceGel^TM rapidly cools the rising air! HTIceGel^TM also conducts heat away from any contents that are directly in contact with an HTIceGel^TM surface.

 è      Closing Flap

PolarBag^TMis closed by an insulated hinged closing flap lined with a special aluminised non toxic PVC reflective material, and by a lip projecting over the edge of the bag. Part of the Patent refers to this lip, which reduces heat transfer through the zip fastener.

 è      HTIce Gel

Technology developed and manufactured solely by Haotian uses specially formulated polyacrylate based ice gel to give PolarBag^TM its “engine” providing cooling power for superior freezing and holding performance. HTIceGel^TM is blue translucent gel that is packed and sealed in clear heavy duty PVC nylon reinforced tubes. HTIce is non-toxic, and meets European Standard EN 12546-3:2000, and IATA Safe Transport Certification for chemical goods.

Light weight; clean, modern appearance; attractive proportions; and an easy to carry shoulder strap.

 è      Color

A range of modern colors is available, from bright definitive colors, through tasteful, conservative hues. The latest trend in “camo” is also supported.        

 è      Durability

Hard wearing, tough and water resistant 600 Denier Polyester backed with PVC is used in the outer cover. The lining is from heavy-duty non-toxic PVC, and the liner from lightweight 420 Denier Nylon.

 è      Pockets

Styles that are fitted with pockets may have a zipped pocket, and / or one or more net pockets. The size of the pockets is always useful and convenient, and is the maximum possible for each style.

 è      Shoulder & Carrying Straps

Shoulder straps and carrying straps are fitted to the larger Styles. All other styles are fitted with shoulder straps. The straps are made from top quality 40–50mm polyester webbing, and are strongly attached to the bag in positions where the bag remains stable, balanced, and comfortable when picked up. The shoulder straps are securely attached, adjustable for length and fitted with robust, first quality fittings.

 è      Lining

The heavy-duty nontoxic PVC lining is fully sealed to prevent the passage of moisture or liquid into the insulation between it and the outer cover. The surface of is impervious to moisture, non porous, and easy to clean. To clean, just wipe over with a cloth using a mild detergent.

 è      Liner

The lightweight 420 D Nylon liner carries the HTIceGel^TM in pockets sewn on the side in contact with the lining of the bag. The material for the lining is carefully selected so that it will not be a barrier to the transfer of heat. After placing frozen HTIceGel^TM in

the pockets, the liner is fixed to the lining by Velcro strips. The liner is easy to clean – just wash it with a mild detergent.

 è      Zip

The Polyamide 6/10 zip is selected for consistent high quality, and close tolerance reliability. Ambient temperature toughness is retained from 0–50 deg. C.
